MEDICAL CENTRES SYRIA

Our team have opened a permanent medical centre in Syria serving a semi-rural area where people are struggling to access medical and emergency care. We are building a second large medical centre in the nearest city, which will be a lifeline to many. We have also refurbished another medical centre in a different city, which is due to open imminently.

The fuel crisis on top of the economic crisis in this war zone makes it so challenging for people to reach medical services and hospitals, and because of the collapsed economy, the public hospitals struggles to provide the medical care that people need.

These centres will serve the whole multi-faith community regardless of beliefs or political views, and aim to demonstrate God’s unconditional love in action in a place that has seen a huge amount of trauma, destruction and breakdown in trust during the years of war. Dependable medical services are urgently needed across Syria and especially in these poor areas, and particularly those which can be accessed free of charge by the poorest and most vulnerable.

Each run on a not for profit basis, enabling medical provision for the whole community. All are in need of dependable medical services, whether wealthy or poor. Working in this way ensures that those who can afford to pay, cover the costs of their own care as well as contributing to the costs of providing a sustainable, free service to the poorest and most vulnerable, as well as subsidised care to very low income individuals and families who are struggling.

We are currently equipping these centres, and are keen to raise funds towards buying and equipping ICU ambulances to serve each centre. We also need to cover the costs of essential supplies for these centres. If you can help in any way please use visit our SUPPORT page and choose our “Medical” account on the giving form.
